Role within QEC4QEA

Within the QEC4QEA project, VU primarily contributes to WP3 by developing and validating quantum-enhanced optimisation solutions. VU’s technical efforts focus on addressing industrial challenges in scheduling and routing (OPT-A4) and the strategic placement of electric vehicle charging infrastructure (OPT-A5). By leveraging its expertise in optimisation and hybrid HPC-QC workflows, VU designs robust algorithms and benchmarking frameworks to evaluate the potential of quantum advantage. Beyond its technical contributions, VU is also well-positioned to support training, user-engagement (WP5), and dissemination activities (WP6) through its established national and regional networks.
