The Spanish Research Council (CSIC) is the largest research institution in Spain, with over 16000 employees, 121 research institutes and 3 national centers. In quantum technologies, CSIC coordinates its efforts through the Quantum Technologies Platform (QTEP), which participates in QEC4QEA via the Quantum Information and Foundations Group, coordinator of this network and of CSIC's efforts in quantum and quantum-inspired algorithms.
Role within QEC4QEA
CSIC maily participates in the design and implementation of quantum applications. We coordinate the simulation task, where we contribute algorithms for numerical analysis (i.e. solving PDEs, constructing and analyzing multivariate probability distributions), and we also participate in efforts related to quantum machine learning and variational algorithms.
